Install in your browser

Install a verified experimental image using a desktop browser. No Python or local fastboot installation is needed.

Use current Chrome or Edge on Windows, macOS or Linux. Windows needs the Google USB driver; Linux may need USB permissions. Safari, Firefox and mobile browsers are not supported by this installer. Back up your phone and unlock its bootloader using the device guide first.

If the browser cannot access your phone or has insufficient storage, use the native Bash or PowerShell installer. Separate files and the Python installer also remain available.

1. Choose the release

The file stays on this computer. Preparation checks the full bundle hash and each image, then streams the rootfs into temporary browser storage. Allow 8 GiB of free browser storage.

2. Connect the phone

Connect one phone directly by USB and enter bootloader fastboot mode. Close other flashing tools. Select the phone in the browser’s USB chooser. Connecting performs checks only.

3. Confirm installation

Installation replaces the operating system and erases all user data. Keep the cable connected until completion. The installer never unlocks or relocks a bootloader.

If installation stops

No automatic reboot or further write is attempted after an error. Keep the phone in its bootloader, retain the error message, and follow manual recovery instructions. If any partition was written, reinstall the complete matching image set before booting. Reloading requires selecting and checking the phone again. Preparation failures can be retried without touching a phone.
